Baby spa day doesn't really exist, but Veronica just looked so relaxed and comfortable in the tub. She started playing with her toes and babbling! I wish I could do that everyday. A girl can dream!

This shot is getting harder to get. I just can't seem to catch all of them smiling or at least looking at the camera at the same time. Every time I take a picture Mia has to come around and see it on the LED screen. She is hilarious! I will definitely keep trying.

Every one of my children has given me the opportunity to take a picture like this. The house is usually quiet because the rest of the family is already asleep. So we lie on the floor and I stretch my arm out to get the shot..of course I look sleepy, thank you very much!

Duck Boat Ride August 3, 2008

Now of course we didn't go on the duck boat for educational purposes..just for fun! Everyone had a good time. Michael was a little bored at the beginning, but he became really excited and nervous when it was time to plunge into the Delaware River. Michael and Mia both make it a point to wave at the duck boat every time they see it. By the way, they are truly enjoying the duck blowers..yeah for me!

Not only does Mia have beautiful teeth, she loves to show them off. Look how clean they are. She does a very good job brushing them everyday! Her dentist is very happy with her teeth! By the way, she was cracking up in this photo. Mia is one crazy girl!

Veronica is growing up so fast..in this photo I was able to catch her sitting still. She is always on the go. She tries so hard to keep up with Michael and Mia. The best part about it all is that they want Veronica to keep up with them.

Hi everyone! I am so sorry to have taken so long to update our family blog, but it has been crazy busy around here and I have been getting to sleep earlier, with the exception of tonight that is. First Ultrasound: Johnathan or Isabella? July 22, 2008

So I had my first ultrasound today. I could see the flickering heartbeat and a very active baby moving around. I know it's hard to decipher ultrasound pictures, but I can tell that it is a baby; Can you? Phil was wishing that there was twins in my belly, but Thank God it's only one. I think God knows that I am not ready for that. Of course, if there were two I would have stepped it up, but whewww! I am so looking forward to the next ultrasound in about 8 weeks. I'm guessing it's another girl, but I won't know for sure until then. If this one turns out to be a girl I think we'll be seeing a 5th Clark baby on the horizon.

..is very entertaining for Veronica, but who would have thought that it would still be entertaining for 4 year old Michael. Go figure!

Bumbo Chair July 13, 2008

I heard about this crazy Bumbo chair years ago, but I didn't see the point to it. Well, this is one baby product that has changed my mind. I had been sitting on a gift certificate that we received when Veronica was born. I had been plotting on a new diaper bag, but when I went to Babies R'Us it wasn't there. So of course I had to see what new products had been released since Mia was born. There was this mountain of Bumbo chairs. Nothing new, but I took a closer look at it. Reading the details on the box made me seriously consider purchasing the chair. It adverstises that a baby can sit up in this chair unassisted. Veronica really likes to be upright, so I thought it would be perfect for her. Well, I got the chair home..sat her in it, fed her cereal in it and she just hung out for a little while. But the true test came when I went to get my hair braided. That is a four hour process and Veronica spent one hour sitting in this chair watching Baby Beethoven on the portable DVD player. I was totally sold. I went on and threw the receipt away because this chair was not going back to the store. This could be my new baby shower gift! Who' s next to get pregnant!

This is the one drink that the whole family can drink and enjoy! We go through a case of this fizzy goodness monthly. Michael and Mia love the fizzy drink and laugh when it hits the back of their throats. Just when you think it's too much for them, they ask for more.

Michael loves looking for bugs..any kind of bug. He loves to pick up ants and let them crawl on his hands. He even likes looking at bugs that are dead on the sidewalk. Michael spotted a cockroach and just had to stop and study it. He is even trying to get Mia into the business of bugs. Yea for Mommy! (sarcasm)

Although Mia had a birthday party with a cake, I really wanted her to have another cake on her birthday. Pretty much a mini version of what she had at her party. Michael was very happy to see another cake appear in the house. He is a cake fanatic! As you can see Mia was very satisfied also.

Veronica's First Cereal June 22, 2008

Veronica likes her cereal! We made a mess of it, of course, but it has gotten much better. She has the mechanics down. Probably in another month I will start making her baby food, then on to hamburgers, just kidding!

Mia Turns 2! June 22, 2008

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MIA!
Mia had a wonderful time at her birthday party. It was very easy for me to pick a theme for her. Mia is a huge fan of Dora the Explorer. I can only go for one episode at a time, but you gotta go with what they like. You should hear her sing the theme song. I can't even guess what the theme will be next year. Mia had a professional styling session with a friend who owns a clothing store. She tried on three dresses, but this one was the cutest and we could tell that she liked it also. There is a matching hat to set the whole outfit off. I made the cake. Your basic yellow with white chocolate buttercream. All the little hands kept reaching before we sang "Happy Birthday!" I also made her a birthday shirt because I was so determined to not ruin that dress with buttercream. Mia feeds herself well, but when it comes to cake, she likes to just pick it up with her hands. One of Mia's gifts came wrapped with colorful touches, so we turned them into a boa and a fierce headband. I truly can't wait until the next party.

Father's Day Gifts, continued

I don't think you will be able to read these, but I just wanted everything to be displayed on the blog. The card was made at home, but Michael made the tie at school. Phil is lucky that is wasn't longer because I may have persuaded him to wear it to church. Ha! Fat chance!

Fathers's Day: June 15, 2008: Time for gifts.

We may have gone overboard on the gifts this year, but Phil never hesitates to be the best husband and father that he can be. Sometimes he questions whether or not he is doing a good job..I always say, "Of course, look how happy we are." So anyway, on with the gifts. My favorite is the t-shirt that I had the kids help me make with their hand and foot prints. The
chocolate covered cheesecake topped with fresh strawberries, weighing 4.4 lbs. is always a favorite of Phil's. I haven't made one since Thanksgiving. Don't you want to just grab a fork and get a bite. Now, the shirt with the faces is from MTV's America's Best Dance Crew. The winning team last season was the Jabbawokeez. Phil is a huge fan; he kept say that he would rock one of their t-shirts if he could find it. Well, I found it. If you have no idea who the Jabbawokeez are you should check them out. Father's Day: June 15, 2008 Please Touch Museum

Michael and Mia had a great time at the Please Touch Museum participating in the ABC Games. They were able to try weightlifting, kiddie treadmills and exercise bikes, the balance beam and the rope climb. Do you remember that from the physical fitness test in gym class.

Veronica is on her way! She is rolling all over the place. Sometimes she gets up on her hands and her toes..I haven't been able to catch that on film yet, but what I did catch was her rolling herself right into a bucket! Of course it was funny to me, especially when she called out in her infant way for help.

So as we walked home from the second party, we run into a Delaware Port Authority Officer who offers Michael and adventure in the police car. Oh boy, oh boy was Michael happy. He got to turn on the lights, sound the horns and of course, pretend to drive. That just made Michael's night and we continued our walk home Mia didn't care much about that. I pray that our children will only be in front seats of a police car. AMEN!

This was one of our
longest Sundays ever! Church, Please Touch Museum, the first send off party, naptime, dinner, second send off party and then finally home for a good night of sleep. Anyhoo, at the second send off party there was a hula hoop girl there performing and of course everyone got to try once she was finished. Michael and Mia of course tried moving their little tiny hips, but the hoop would just fall to the ground, but Daddy showed them the way! Phil took that hula and started to work it! I thought the hoop was just going to fall to the ground because the boys in my gym class were never able to do it. If it were daytime I would have a video, but it was too dark. I wish you could have seen what I saw.
