Little Mama Mia! February 12, 2009

Mia is so funny. If you look closely at the pictures you will find Mia putting a diaper on her Cabbage Patch doll. This doll was originally Michael's when we were getting him ready for Mia's arrival. She keeps taking diapers out of my diaper bag and from the storage container in their bedroom. There is not one baby doll in this house that doesn't have a diaper on. Even Tickle Me Elmo Extreme has has a diaper on. Right now, you will find at least 8 diapers in her bed. The best thing about this is..she is not asking to change Isabella's diaper.

Michael turns 5! February 11, 2009

Michael had a wonderful birthday. Michael went with Phil to a bakery to pick out his own birthday cake, then he came home from school and found 5 balloons in 5 different rooms with a toy or candy attached to each of them. He could not wait for dinner to be done. Chicken and french fries was his dinner of choice. Then it was time to cut the cake. Boy oh boy, it was time! You can see what happened in the pictures. If we let him, he would have eaten the whole cake that night.

Happy Birthday Veronica February 10, 2009

So Veronica turns one! It was a happy day..Phil and Michael picked up some cupcakes from Brown Betty because as much as I wanted to, I could not find the energy to make the cake. Veronica thoroughly enjoyed her marble cupcake. I had to take her out of the highchair, wrap her in a towel and toss her into the tub. Next year is going to be huge in the month of February celebrating three birthdays! Yippee!

Isabella Koko Clark Arrives! February 4-8, 2009

After 17 hours of labor, Isabella arrives at 6:34pm..6 pounds 5 ounces and 19 inches long. What a teeny tiny cutie patootie she is. Everyone is enjoying her and she is letting mommy get enough sleep.

Michael gets tubes and his adenoids removed. January 16, 2009

We arrived at the surgical center at 7:00am. Michael was a big boy from start to finish. He loved getting his hospital pajamas on and then the cap was just the cherry on the sundae.
Optimus Prime kept him company until it was time to go in. When he was sleeping I wanted to climb into bed with him, but there was not enough space, so instead I went and had his prescriptions filled. When he woke up, he was in his glory because he had a nice big cup of ginger ale, graham crackers and Happy Feet on our portable DVD player. Thanks to Daddy for noticing Michael's hearing loss. We were doing too much yelling around the house. Now Michael has super ears and when I ask him to say something again, he says to me, "Mommy, you need to get your ears fixed like me!" One last thing, Michael lost his second tooth during the surgery. He was shocked when he looked in the mirror. So the Tooth Fairy brought him a Transformers toothbrush that plays the theme song for two minutes. He was a great brusher before, but now he is brushing the enamal off his teeth.

First one in, first one out! January 4, 2009

Michael lost his first tooth! It has been loose for about 2 weeks. I only noticed it because his perfectly straight teeth were crooked. I reached in and to my surprise, the tooth moved. I didn't even tell him right away. It was right before we were leaving for school and I didn't want him going to school showing it off, sticking his finger in his mouth all day. So on this day, he asked for a pop tart and I went upstairs to put his sisters down for their nap. Next thing I know..he came running up the stairs nearly shouting, "My tooth came out, my tooth came out. So now is the Tooth Fairy coming to see me?!" Cracked me up. So that night the Tooth Fairy came through and put a certificate and $3.00 under his pillow. Again the next morning, he came running in my room with his goodies in hand saying, "She came. The Tooth Fairy came!"

Mia's smile is getting easier to catch! January 2, 2009

Mia has been the most difficult to catch a good smile in a picture. She is always cheesin', but when you try and catch it, her smile goes a little crooked. She is still my cutie!

Christmas Day December 25, 2008

There were a lot of goodies under the tree. Michael got everything he wanted. Anything Bat Man is a highlight for him. What he asked for a couple of months ago was Spike the Dinosaur. In the days leading up to Christmas, he kept pointing out the gift that he thought Spike was in. The crazy thing is, he was right. Mia got stuff that she didn't know she wanted, but was very happy with it, especially her Yo Gabba Gabba guitar. Veronica got this great VTech book that sings to her, but really Veronica is happy handling everyone's goodies. Phil, as you can see, was very happy and surprised with his Little House On the Prairie First Season DVD set. Coming in second for him was the Dark Knight. I was very happy with everything that I got, but I was the happiest watching everyone else open there goodies. What a fun day, tiring, but fun!
